Collaborative Specialization

The Department of Political Science has partnered with other departments and centres at Western to offer a  collaborative specialization on your degree.

To obtain a graduate degree in Political Science with a specialization in Transitional Justice or Environment and Sustainability, a student must be registered in the Political Science graduate program and complete all of its degree requirements as well as those of the collaborative specialization.

Specialization - Transitional Justice and Post-Conflict Reconstruction

A specialization in Transitional Justice focuses on issues including reconciliation, criminal accountability, post-colonial legacies, legal reconstruction, the environment, human rights, economic justice, healing circles, democratization, and more.  For additional information, please visit the TJ Centre.

Specialization - Centre for Environment and Sustainability

The Collaborative Specialization in Environment and Sustainability is an enrichment program designed for current graduate students (PhD) who wish to become specialists in specific aspects of environment and sustainability, and who also wish to gain an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of environmental problems and solutions.
