Collaborative Programs

The Department of Political Science has partnered with other departments and centres at Western to offer a variety of collaborative programs.

To obtain a graduate degree in Political Science with a specialization in one of these programs, a student must be registered in the Political Science graduate program and complete all of its degree requirements as well as those of the collaborative program.

Centre For Transitional Justice and Post-Conflict Reconstruction

The Collaborative Graduate Program in Transitional Justice brings together experts from across the Western community whose teaching and research focuses on issues including reconciliation, criminal accountability, post-colonial legacies, legal reconstruction, the environment, human rights, economic justice, healing circles, democratization, and more.  For additional information, please visit the TJ Centre Program.


Centre for Environment and Sustainability

The Collaborative Program in Environment and Sustainability is an enrichment program designed for current graduate students (MSc/MA/MESc or PhD) who wish to become specialists in specific aspects of environment and sustainability, and who also wish to gain an appreciation of the interdisciplinary nature of environmental problems and solutions.
